The Twitter Test for Tristan

So I was walking to work this morning and was listening to Net@Nite with Amber Macarthur and Leo Laporte and they have been talking about this service called Twitter that is either a stalkers paradise but it lets you update your little micro blog 150 or so characters at a time and you can do it from any IM client or from your mobile phone. They made this pretty interesting point you could update this feed lets say if you were on a bad date and you could have your friends watching and they could swoop in and save you or what not. But then the argument. Why not just text message them? Well ummm that’s not as cool as this. So I am trying it out today. See if it’s worth my time to have another blog. =) Give it a whirl. Be my friend I need to talk to someone. lol

  1. I don’t get it (I know that’s a shocker). Are people supposed to reply to your twitter thing or is it just so we know where you are at all times?

By the way, the “my font hurts” is pretty funny.

  3. They can join in on my network of friends so lets say you are my friend (Well I hope you would be) You make an update and I can sign up to be alerted by phone, IM or e-mail and get an update if I so desire.

So I could be like oh Junniper is enjoying coffee I should update. I am at work explaining our documentation to some wahoo. You would then get an update from me if you desire.

Think of it as small mobile blogging. You only get 110 characters per post. So interesting little service started by the guys that started blogger who then created Odeo and now on to Twitter.

    Cool Web2.0 stuff.
