TristanPipo.com Podcast Show #12 – Getting Back in the Swing of Things

I haven’t done a spoken podcast in a while for myself. I have done a few for other people. But last Friday I was feeling a bit inspired to record something to give it a go see if I still had a knack for it.

So I thought I would publish the raw uncut results for you to get a bit of feedback from the listeners and readers of the blog. I truly miss podcasting and wish I could do it more. But I think the dynamic is much better with another person.

If you subscribe to my podcast feed at /podcast/Podcast.xml you should be getting the update next time you update your feed readers.

This runs 18 mins and has some music and some other things. Thoughts are appreciated. I tried to bang this out in about an hour.

  1. Nice cast, Pipo. It has been a while, hasn’t it? I do remember Mr. Cummingsworth–I think he was the first podcast I listened to. Ah, the memories.

As for this “I know more about movies than Junniper” nonsense—stop fooling yourself, boy! I RULE! You didn’t even know what I was talking about when I said the carpet in the airport is the same as it was when Sleepless in Seattle was filmed! So THERE!

I have a suggestion for podcasts–which I don’t know if it’s something that can be changed. But I have some issues with the volume. I listened to it at work, but I’d have to adjust the volume constantly because songs and clips and your intro are really loud, but then I could barely hear when you were speaking. Can it be edited or something to have a more constant volume?

Good show–hope you have time to make some more!

  3. The Volume I can fix. Involves a few more steps.

Simply Take the Music Track Normalize it. Take the Vocal Track Normalize it and then Mix it down from there =)

Or we could solve the whole issue and switch to a microphone, mixer setup with a vocal compressor to resolve the issues.

But I will fix that on the next go around. Maybe I should get a random call going surprise you with a screentest. 😉

I wanted to get the new hardware to make this all a bit easier but I just kinda fell out of the loop on it.

The SceneIt Challenge is Still Out there. The big question is will you step up?!

    Eh? Hmmm?
