Removal of Podcasts

Hey Everyone! It’s been a few years since I have taken the time to record a podcast. I ran a google search on my name and found that they had been linked to on a number of external sites. So I opted to remove them all from the site. They are backed up safely and perhaps someday they shall return. Perhaps I shall get back into podcasting sometime in the future.

But only time will tell. Right now the time is telling me to go to bed. I shall be updating soon.

The Digital Archive Project

Hey Loyal Readers. I was looking at the server logs and noticed I had 15 people active on the site that were not web robots. Which I thought was pretty darn cool considering I have been failing as a blogger lately.

Honestly I have just been feeling a bit overwhelmed and I just need to rearrange parts of my life to get into the swing of things. I really want to get back into the gym thing but life has made that hard. But lately I have been working on archiving the media that my family has created over the years. It can be a long process to watch a tape and sit there with a notepad and mark the parts of the recording that I need to fix later. So I do a tape or two a weekend and almost have all of the tapes recorded that are worth saving.

I am going to work on a bit of a clip show and post it on my personal blog. But again all of this requires time and I don’t find myself wanting to spend it on my laptop as much as I used to. So I will make a clip show a priority of mine.

I also would really like to get back into podcasting again. Get a few other guys or maybe some girl to get on Skype with some microphones and beat out a 30-40 minute show maybe twice a month. Doesn’t really have to be about by dating life as I have had a serious girlfriend for almost 3 years now. Again just more time.

So look forward to a clip show and will see about starting up a podcast again. I stopped at 12 episodes and recently just got delisted from iTunes.  Sad times indeed. But please follow me on twitter if you want to keep up on the pulse of Tristan. http://www.twitter.com/tristanpipo

Hope to hear from you soon.

Where the Hell is Rachel (2009)

Hey Everyone! If you follow my twitter you probably saw me make notes about the “Secret Christmas Project” well I thought I would show it to you now.

Some Tech Specs : We captured this on December 14th 2009 at various locations around my hometown of Kitsap County, WA. I used a Flip Ultra HD camera for all of the video and we went to various locations and I would capture my sister dancing from 15-30 seconds depending on the location. The video was inspired by the “Where the Hell is Matt” video which you can see here.

The music is Praan and you can grab it off iTunes at the following location : http://bit.ly/91XPu4

I edited the movie on my MacBook Pro using iMovie 2009. Which made it incredibly easy to do. I captured about 58 minutes of video in various locations and had to cut it down to 4 minutes and 29 seconds to match the other video. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them leave them in a comment below. I am not sure if we will do this again next year but who knows what the future holds.

Digging Through Folders

So I found this folder on my laptop called “Podcast Notes” when I was going through cleaning some stuff out and I found this song and I must say I got a good chuckle. I was trying to ponder what I was going to use it for. But I thought I would share this old treasure I guess.

I am a folder when it comes to that matter. Hope everyone is having a good week now that hump day is over. We have the hell that is Thursday and then the beer consuming of Friday.

It’s 10:40pm here on the left coast I am off to bed.

PreProduction – TristanPipo.com Podcast #13

So before I started to dig into the hardcore nitty gritty of producing and getting everything setup I was digging through some of the older voicemails that I had and none of them are really relevant to what is going on right now.

So before I start cutting and editing and recording this show I was going to put the voicemail line out there one more time if you want to be part of the joy of having your voice heard.

TristanPipo.com Podcast Show #12 – Getting Back in the Swing of Things

I haven’t done a spoken podcast in a while for myself. I have done a few for other people. But last Friday I was feeling a bit inspired to record something to give it a go see if I still had a knack for it.

So I thought I would publish the raw uncut results for you to get a bit of feedback from the listeners and readers of the blog. I truly miss podcasting and wish I could do it more. But I think the dynamic is much better with another person.

If you subscribe to my podcast feed at /podcast/Podcast.xml you should be getting the update next time you update your feed readers.

This runs 18 mins and has some music and some other things. Thoughts are appreciated. I tried to bang this out in about an hour.

Blogs In The Queue

I know everyone is wanting an update on life. Trust me it’s coming I have a few blogs in the works at the moment.

Here are the currently running titles.

  • The Story of a Beginning

    • This seems to be the one that everyone is wanting to read and waiting for. I am working on putting a lot of though into this which then spawned a side project for something I wanted to try and I am finding it to be a rather detailed story to tell. I will be trimming and working on this one.

  • Tales from the Crypt err Best Buy!

    • Well this started last week on Friday and then the weekend came and I got distracted with other matters and then some big news happened which spawned another blog post so this is on the back burner at the moment.

  • Other Blogs

    • I started some other ones I think I am just going to shelve for the moment. (Swearing, Coffee and a Burger, Swear to God). I may get back to these at a later date but will probably just can them.

My blogging practice seems to be start one and then finish it later I build up a nice little queue of ideas to come back to. Everything really starts on Google Docs which used to be Writely. I had a girl that was an editor for a while but she seemed to vanish off the face of the earth. So I just put everything on there anyways so I can access it from anywhere. I then import it into this blog and get it published. So usually at any given time I have 3-5 blogs in the pipeline I am working on and then various other writing projects like a few short film scripts.

Ideas for Blogs are always kept in Google Notepad so I can just access a digital notepad anytime I need to mind scribble. I really use it for a digital clipboard I can access anywhere.

I pretty much focus most of my daily dealings on Twitter now.

Easier to just throw out 140 characters or less of what I am doing on the go. I need to get better at doing e-mail on the go. But I found that after spending time with Raleigh it’s like screw the phone there are more important things. I like it as a communication device. It’s handy though if I need directions or a sports score on the go to seem like I care about Sports.

But I just thought I would write a blog saying I didn’t forget about the readers. Things are coming I just don’t want to rush one of these like I normally do with such things. =) Some stories of life deserve to be told like they are meant to be told.

I really want to get back to speak. Remember when I had a voice?

Post #874 – Humor as Dry as Ginger Ale.

I thank Mr. Greg for that title.

I really need to finish the Birthday write up. I get told frequently that I crack people up and make them laugh. I got such an e-mail on Saturday from perhaps a new friend that she was reading my blog and liked my sense of humor. I am not sure what it takes to be funny I am just myself and make casual observations of the world we live in. Which is pretty much the basis of many comedians.

I also find that being incredibly random is something that I do very well. Having a full bank of quotes that is ever increasing is also something that I enjoy doing. But I have found the key to a great sense of humor is being able to laugh at yourself. If I do something totally stupid I don’t get pissed at myself you just need to laugh at yourself.

I try to do anything for a laugh. One time I created a character that was a gay englishmen and had him call a Wal-Mart in Arkansas to ask for a rather creative cake. I included that file in case you have not heard it before.

But I guess was take some time laugh at the world around you. Nothing is serious remember everything you spent your life to earn is gone in the end you can’t take it with you. So enjoy it now while you still can.

Thanks for everyone that enjoys my company and I thank you for letting me get to know you.
